Unfortunately for all who cannot wait to play Genshin Impact on the Nintendo Switch, ever since the version was announced and its trailer was first revealed in January 2020, almost nine months before the title was released on September 28, 2020, there have been no further major official announcements regarding the game’s release on the Nintendo console, with the exception of a few mentions and statements regarding the topic as well as addressing the Nintendo Switch’s community concerns over the arrival of the acclaimed title in the platform. Genshin Impact Switch Version: Everything We Know But, when will HoYoverse’s megahit arrive on the Nintendo Switch? To answer that and more, here’s everything we know regarding Genshin Impact’s upcoming and already announced Nintendo Switch version. We hope that MiHoYo can sort out whatever problems they’re currently having and release the game on Switch.Genshin Impact is without a shadow of a doubt a worldwide phenomenon, having won the hearts of players all over the globe since its release in 2020, thanks to both its lore, gameplay, and its wide cast of characters. The Nintendo Switch seems like the perfect home for Genshin Impact, and it’s currently sorely missing on the console. If that’s so, then it would be a real shame. Perhaps Nintendo has delayed the title until they release the BOTW sequel, Tears of the Kingdom. Indeed, the combat system and overall look of the world are quite similar to Hyrule. When miHoYo first released the game, many fans noted the similarities with Breath of the Wild from The Legend of Zelda franchise. However, there’s another reason why it might be delayed. The Legend of Zelda and Genshin ImpactĬlearly, there’s a big market for strange RPGs on the Switch, so a Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port would be a perfect addition. If that wasn’t enough, Atlus released Shin Megami Tensei V only on Switch in 2021, while Capcom followed suit with Monster Hunter Rise. Additionally, the Octopath Traveler first came out on the Switch in 2018 before being released elsewhere in the years that followed. Square released the Japan-exclusive title in 1994, and it finally got a worldwide release on Switch in July 2022. After all, the Switch console has become the home for plenty of other interesting RPGs. It would truly be a shame if a Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port never came. It could be that miHoYo decided to ignore the Switch entirely and move on to the next Nintendo console. The fact that it’s been almost two years since the original game came out doesn’t bode well for a Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port. However, this idea seems unlikely, as there are plenty of other Switch titles with microtransactions. Other individuals speculated that the microtransaction basis of the game could cause a delay. This port would be a perfect way to play the title, allowing players. Even the original PS4 version didn’t run great at launch. Genshin Impact's Nintendo Switch port has been teased since before the game even launched, and fans are still waiting for it. And let’s not even mention the Xbox Series X/S or PS5! As such, a potential Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch might not fare too well on the console. The Xbox One and PS4 are both much superior to the Switch in terms of capabilities. Because of this gimmick, the console is vastly underpowered compared to other consoles. Way back on January 14, 2021, we got a sneak peek of what’s to come in the Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch trailer, as seen above. Players can choose to take it on the go or put it on the big screen. While Hoyoverse has confirmed that we’re definitely getting Genshin Impact on Nintendo Switch at some point, it’s yet to announce a release date. Unlike other consoles, the Switch’s biggest premise is the fact that it’s a handheld and home console hybrid. The first of these is to do with the hardware. Even so, there are several reasons why we think it hasn’t come out yet. According to miHoYo, the port is “in development.” It’s possible that they might eventually choose not to release a Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port, as Nintendo could release their next console in the next few years. So what’s going on?Unfortunately, it’s not too clear why they’ve delayed the release. However, we’re near the end of 2022, and we’ve still heard nothing more about it. The following year, they released it for PS5 and promised a Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port was coming. In this month, miHoYo released the game on Android, iOS, iPad, Windows, and PS4. They first released it in November 2020, when many people were looking for a digital connection due to the pandemic. Genshin Impact is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via client and Epic Games Store, iOS via the App Store, and Android via Google Play. A lot of this popularity came from the time when miHoYo released the game. During its first year, the game generated over $1 billion in revenue. Genshin Impact is one of the biggest games of the last few years, especially since it was originally a mobile game.
